Dear friends,

Welcome to the Monument Piano Trio’s 2009-2010 season!

We look forward to seeing you in the audience, hearing from you and visiting with you after our performances at An die Musik where we will present five concerts between late September and early May.  All are on Sundays and now begin at 3:00 p.m.  We will also be performing at St. John’s Church in Glyndon in the early evening of October 25, and will list additional concerts as details become available.

We have some wonderful programs, including the premiere of the complete Symphony No. 2 by Brahms arranged for the Monument Piano Trio by our pianist Michael Sheppard on our opening concert at An die Musik.  The series there will conclude with Beethoven’s own arrangement for piano trio of his 2nd Symphony. Among other composers to be heard at An die Musik are Barber, Bernstein, Busoni, Chopin, Liszt, Schubert, Michael Sheppard, and Villa-Lobos.  We are pleased to be collaborating once again with ANALOG Arts Ensemble in a program of new music.

Attendance grew at each of our concerts this past season and as we enter our sixth season together, we thank all of you for your interest and support and very much look forward to seeing you soon.
